The To the Max Foundation was established in honor of my late mother, Doris Maxine Bunn—a woman whose life was defined by tireless service and selfless generosity.
Through both the foundation and a bi-annual award, I’m able to recognize women who exemplify exceptional leadership and meaningful service within their communities.
2024 Honoree: Apostle Pamela Wood
Pamela Wood is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of DiAngelo’s House of Wellness, a residential care facility dedicated to supporting individuals with mental and physical disabilities through holistic, person-centered care.
Established in response to a deeply personal need, DiAngelo’s House of Wellness emerged from Pamela’s determination to create an environment where her son—and others like him—could thrive beyond the limitations of traditional institutional care. What began as a solution became a model: a thoughtfully designed home that reflects excellence, dignity, and compassion in residential healthcare.
Under Pamela’s leadership, DiAngelo’s House of Wellness integrates best practices in holistic care, offering referral-based therapies alongside creative and wellness-focused enhancements. The program is guided by a vision of intentional nurturing, innovation, and growth, with the goal of creating a replicable model for elevated care.
It is an honor to recognize Pamela Wood as the 2024 To the Max Award recipient. Her leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to others perfectly embody the spirit and legacy this award was created to honor.
