Evangelist Beverly Johnson is a devoted woman of faith, community leader, gospel artist, and mentor with a passion for ministry, music, education, and empowering others. She is the Founder and CEO of My Praise My Worship Music & Arts Ministry, Inc. (MPMW), a nonprofit organization established in 2009 that uses music, arts, and outreach to inspire communities and provide scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors.
A licensed and ordained Evangelist, Beverly Johnson has dedicated her life to spreading the Gospel through worship, encouragement, and service. She faithfully serves at First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries, Virginia under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Sandra K. James, where she ministers through praise and worship and supports various outreach initiatives.
Evangelist Johnson is also an active community advocate and mentor. She serves as Chaplain for Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. – Dale City/Prince William County Chapter, where she provides spiritual encouragement and leadership while supporting youth, education, and community service programs.
In addition to her ministry and community work, Beverly Johnson has over 17 years of experience supporting individuals and families through employment and community-based services. She currently serves as a Senior Employment Development Specialist, helping individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges achieve independence, career growth, and life success.
Evangelist Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Evangelism from H.E. Woods, along with a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies. Her educational background, combined with her ministry and leadership experience, has equipped her to encourage and uplift people from all walks of life.
Her dedication to service earned her the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 for her outstanding commitment to ministry, mentorship, volunteerism, and community outreach.
Through every season of life, Evangelist Beverly Johnson continues to inspire others to walk boldly in faith, purpose, worship, and love.
