ASIA CHANDLER | RADIO PERSONALITY
A graduate of Northeastern University with dual degrees in Communications and Journalism, Asia launched her career after winning Radio One’s “Fresh New Voices” contest, beating out more than 4,000 contestants. She quickly rose through the ranks in Boston radio, becoming a mid-day host and later hosting the morning show on Big City 101.3, where she earned four consecutive Best of Boston awards.
Now a longtime presence with Radio One, Asia serves as an entertainment reporter on The Donnie Simpson Show and has built a reputation as a trusted voice in media. Her work extends beyond radio to include red carpet reporting, event hosting, and television appearances on Fox 5 and WHUT-TV, with coverage of major events like the NAACP Image Awards and the American Black Film Festival.
A trained singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Asia is equally committed to giving back—serving on the board of the American Cancer Society and supporting programs that empower youth and returning citizens.
Guided by her faith and a belief in staying true to yourself, Asia continues to inspire audiences on and off the air—proving that authenticity is the key to lasting impact.
